Nutricosmetics for Anti-Aging

Our nutricosmetics, just like our skincare tablets, present solutions from the inside out. These nutricosmetics are products with ingredients that act as nutritional supplements, to care for skin, nails, hair, and natural beauty. They are ingestible, working from the inside to promote beauty from within. Nutricosmetics are the latest trend in the beauty industry which rapidly gained many followers because of its compatibility with modern culture. Consumption of nutricosmetics can help slow the ageing process and prevent visible signs of ageing.

Causes and Prevention of Signs of Aging

Ageing is a natural, and inevitable part of life. A group of European scientists specialised in environmental medicine and skin biology conducted a comprehensive review of existing studies and literature about defining what affects skin ageing. They summarised them as the following.

Sun Radiation

Sun exposure which results in solar and UV radiation is a major factor in ageing. If the skin is openly exposed to the sun for years, the skin quality degrades quicker. However, if the skin is protected against sun damage, then collagen and elastin which keep the skin plump, firm, and stretchy function much better and for decades longer.

Pollution & Tobacco

What we inhale can have a significant effect on our skin and signs of ageing. A recent study indicated that exposure to increased ground levels of ozone may be associated with wrinkle formation in the face and antioxidant depletion. It concluded that there is no good epidemiological evidence that exposure to traffic-related air pollution including particulate matter, nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and ground-level ozone is associated with pigment spot and wrinkle formation in Caucasians and East Asians. Cigarette smoke alters biological processes in the skin, increasing skin ageing. One study estimated that 10 years of smoking corresponded to a difference in appearance of roughly 2½ years older.

Temperature

Heat (above 40 degrees) increases inflammation in the skin and therefore the breakdown of collagen. Collagen is the protein that keeps your skin firm and elastic. If you expose your skin frequently to heat, then fine lines and wrinkles appear, and new blood vessels and inflammatory cells form, which in turn causes DNA damage and makes veins more visible.

Nutrition

Perhaps it’s no surprise for some, but there is a link between nutrition and ageing as nutrient-deficient individuals will experience dermatitis and depigmentation. People who avoid excessive alcohol intake and have a diet rich in antioxidants have a younger perceived age. A high intake of vegetables, olive oil, and legumes is protective for the skin, whilst a high intake of meat, dairy, and butter is detrimental to it. What you consume as part of your diet and nutritional supplements can have an impact on skin ageing, for better or worse. Here at Cannabotech, we established a whole range of skincare and anti-ageing products: cleansing balm, antioxidant cream, face serum, eye cream, and skin lifting cream. Amongst the anti-aging products we have available are our Antioxidant & FormulAgeing tablets for that glowing and youthful skin coming from within.

Stress and Sleep

Chronic stress can stimulate the nervous system and this activation can result in the weakening of the immune system, increasing oxidative stress and DNA damage, which are known contributors to skin ageing and the health of the skin. Sleep deprivation is another factor impacting the body and increasing the risk for many chronic diseases. However, sleep also affects the skin’s physical appearance too: hanging eyelids, red, swollen eyes, dark circles under the eyes, paler skin, more fine lines/wrinkles, and drooping corners of the mouth. A study of 60 women who slept less than 5 hours a night showed some key signs of ageing.

The Ingredients That Make Our Products Stand Out

Cannabotech’s nutricosmetics and anti-aging products all contain medicinal mushrooms, CBD oil and other vitamins, minerals and natural herbal and plant ingredients. Each of these ingredients plays an important role in preventing the physical signs of ageing.

Medicinal Mushrooms

In the past 10 or so years, medicinal mushrooms have begun making an appearance in skincare and cosmetics. Cannabotech is a leader in this field, having conducted thorough research and medicinal consideration by professionals resulting in the selection of 17 medicinal mushrooms to include in our skincare products. Each product contains a specific selection of mushrooms that are best for treating various conditions and ailments.

CBD Oil

Similarly to medicinal mushrooms, CBD is an ingredient that has recently made an appearance in the skincare industry. CBD oil can provide many benefits to the skin such as antioxidant and anti-inflammatory support, balancing the immunity and stability of the skin cells, and reducing the risk of developing inflammation or skin irritation.

Macadamia, Pomegranate, Mango Seed

In addition to a combination of medicinal mushrooms and CBD, our nutricosmetics are fortified with natural ingredients that all provide unique benefits to the skin.

  • Macadamia seed oil has a regenerative effect and outstanding skin care benefits that smooth the skin.
  • Pomegranate seed oil enhances collagen production, enhances skin elasticity, reduces the appearance of scarring, promotes the reversal of skin damage, and leaves lasting moisture without leaving a greasy residue or clogging pores.
  • Mango seed butter helps reduce ageing of skin cells, and the formation of premature wrinkles and fine lines on the skin. This seed butter has good emulsifying properties that help water to bind with oil and dirt particles so that they can easily be rinsed off from the skin.

The benefits of these ingredients are remarkable and even more powerful when combined.

The M2CBD Formula

As innovators in our field, we combined both medicinal mushrooms and CBD into our groundbreaking M2CBD formula for optimal benefits. The two ingredients working together have a synergistic and supercharged effect on one's health. Both CBD oil and mushrooms have antioxidant, stress reduction & anti-inflammatory properties for the overall body, and mushrooms provide additional hydration and brightening of the skin.
