Are there any recommended dosages for taking stress adaptogens?
Asked 7 months ago
I've been considering trying out some plant-based stress adaptogens, but I couldn't find much information about dosages or the best methods for preparing them. I don't want to "overdose" on them, and I also don't want any waste, so I came here to ask: what are the most effective methods of taking adaptogens, and what are the recommended dosages? What do the dosages depend on?
Is it even possible to take too much; what would happen if I took 1,000 mg of ashwagandha?

Stress adaptogens can come as capsules, powders, tinctures, or teas. The effectiveness of the adaptogens depends on their quality, dosage, and the individual's health and lifestyle. Recommended dosage also varies based on age, weight, health status, etc. For example, a regular ashwagandha dosage is 300-500 mg, taken twice or thrice daily. If you overdose, you may experience headaches, insomnia, allergic reactions, and gastrointestinal upset.
