FORTIFY

Bone Strengthener

£99.00

FORTIFY is a unique, bone-strengthening blend of 5 medicinal mushrooms (Cordyceps, Maitake, Snow Fungus, Reishi, Shiitake) and premium, pharmaceutical-grade CBD, providing protective and restorative support in the management of Bone health, in both men and women.

Medical Mushrooms have been shown to significantly reduce bone loss by:

  • Stimulating activity and maturation of Osteoblastic, bone-building cells.
  • Inhibiting Osteoclasts (bone-resorbing/degrading cells) activity.
  • Increasing calcium-binding, Osteocalcin levels.
  • Mimicking estrogen activity in the body, thereby reducing the impact of estrogen- deficiency-related bone loss.
  • Inhibiting bone-mineral density reduction and enhancing calcium absorption.

benefits

CORDYCEPS MILITARIS

Scientific studies on Cordycepin– a key, bioactive compound in Cordyceps, have reported that it may act as an anti-inflammatory agent in Osteoporosis as well as increasing levels of Osteocalcin (a calcium-binding protein found in bone).

Cordyceps has also been shown to reduce bone loss associated with estrogen deficiency, by inhibiting the formation and maturation of bone-resorbing Osteoclasts.

GRIFOLA FRONDOSA (MAITAKE)

Isoflavones, Syringic, and Vanillic acid, abundant in Maitake, induce osteogenesis (bone formation and growth) and reduce the risk of developing Osteoporosis through their potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory actions. Phyto-estrogenic Isoflavones also provide anti-osteoporotic support by mimicking/modulating endogenous Oestrogen activity.

Grifola frondosa raises alkaline phosphatase activity and mineralization of the bone cells, thus stimulating healthy maturation and vitality of these cells, making this an ideal aid in the management of diseases associated with bone disorders e.g. Type I / Type II Osteoporosis and advanced Diabetes.

LENTINUS EDODES (SHIITAKE)

Like Maitake, Shiitake mushroom contains Syringic and Vanillic acid, thereby reducing the risk of developing Osteoporosis whilst providing osteogenic (bone formation and growth) support through their potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory actions.

Numerous scientific studies confirm that Shiitake significantly increases bone volume and density by inhibiting Osteoclast differentiation and activity, whilst boosting bone-building Osteoblastic mineralization, as well as increasing calcium-binding Osteocalcin production in the bone.

TREMELLA FUCIFORMIS (SNOW FUNGUS)

Snow Fungus offers a great variety of health benefits due to its comprehensive and diverse nutritional profile, which includes compounds such as Amino acids, Vitamins and Minerals, Polysaccharides, Flavonoids, Polyphenols, Alkaloids, and Organic Acids.

Tremella’s anti-osteoporotic effects have thus been attributed to its potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory actions, as well as its ability to enhance calcium absorption.

GANODERMA LUCIDUM (REISHI)

Known as the ‘Herb/ Medicine of Kings”, Reishi contains an impressive number of phytochemicals/ bioactive compounds (approx. 400), including polysaccharides, triterpenoids, steroids, sterols, fatty acids, proteins, and various trace minerals.

By researching some of these many compounds, Scientists have been able to demonstrate that Ganoderma lucidum may prevent and even reverse bone loss, through its antioxidant & anti-inflammatory actions as well as being able to regulate signaling in bone metabolism and remodeling, thereby inhibiting bone resorption (breakdown).

CBD

In addition to providing potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatorily support, CBD significantly increases levels of endogenous, endocannabinoid receptors, thus providing protection against Osteoporosis and ultimately increasing bone mass/ volume by suppressing bone resorption (breakdown/ reduction) and enhancing bone growth, in both sexes.

CBD has also been shown to augment enzymes that increase collagen cross-linking, thereby enhancing overall bone strength.

Calcium

Having arthritis and other risk factors increases the risk of developing osteoporosis. Get the facts on the right amounts of calcium you need to protect bone health.
