benefits

Medical mushrooms have a positive effect on physical and sports performance, helping to support stamina and endurance by supporting oxygen flow, stimulating the most powerful antioxidant in the body (which helps to protect against oxidative stress) assists in an antispasmodic effect, increasing energy and stamina.

Functional Mushrooms increase the number of red blood cells, which boost oxygen levels and thereby enhance endurance, avert damage to skeletal muscles, reduce muscle mass loss and enhance muscle regeneration.

In addition, CBD has anticonvulsant properties, reduces muscular inflammation, restores muscle function, prevents loss of locomotor activity, and promotes the maturation of muscle cells.

Chaga |

Chaga mushroom has been found to have a positive effect on physical and sports performance, helping to support stamina and endurance by supporting oxygen flow. Chaga is also one of the most antioxidant-rich foods on the planet and helps to stimulate the most powerful antioxidant in the body, Superoxide Dismutase, which helps to protect against oxidative stress.

Cordyceps |

The Cordyceps mushroom has a long history of use by Chinese and Tibetan people to improve respiratory health and increase energy and stamina.  Modern science shows that cordyceps has a positive effect on the body’s ability to use oxygen effectively (increase VO2 max index measuring the limits of the cardiorespiratory systems’ ability to transport oxygen from the air to the tissues at a given level of physical conditioning and oxygen availability).  In physical activity, cordyceps is effective in reducing fatigue and improving energy use (via better respiratory and cardiovascular responses). Cordyceps can stimulate vasodilation (widening of blood vessels along with increased blood flow), and promote efficient oxygen use in tissues. Cordyceps assists in quicker adaptation to high altitude training as well as improves aerobic capacity.

Reishi |

Reishi is a powerhouse mushroom traditionally used to help with fatigue and muscular disorders. Studies show that Reishi improves physical fitness in individuals suffering from fibromyalgia, (a condition characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain and accompanied by fatigue and sleep issues). Reishi increases the number of red blood cells, which boost oxygen levels and thereby enhance endurance. Reishi reduces stress and modulates immune functions (undergoes imbalance in immune cells caused by physical activity).

CBD |

Recently, it was reported that CBD has muscle protective and restorative properties. Researchers reported that CBD helps treat temporary muscle soreness, has anticonvulsant properties, reduces muscular inflammation, restores functional autophagy and positively enhances muscle function, prevents the loss of locomotor activity, promotes the maturation of muscle cells.

We really like this product. I say ‘we’ because both myself and my husband used it for different reasons.
It is very easy to rub into your skin and doesn’t leave a residue, so no sticking to clothes etc. The heat doesn’t come instantly but builds gradually. This makes it more soothing than hard hitting. And the scent is still menthol but not as powerful as other rubs so you can wear perfume/cologne without worrying about it clashing.
The only downside is the bottle. It took us forever to get the pump working and ended up unscrewing it to scoop the product out for the first 2 days.
Husband: used for sore, aching back muscles from heavy lifting. Found it soothing and definitely helped the aches. Preferred the scent over other muscle rubs.
Myself: used for comfort for old back injury and fibromyalgia. The gentle heat helps both conditions without being too much.

I play a lot of badminton and as a result suffer from tight shoulders and an achy back. This muscle rub formulated with eucalyptus oil, cbd and functional mushrooms has been brilliant. It is gentle on my skin yet powerful to ease and relax my muscles. I love the eucalyptus and menthol smell and find it very relaxing. The muscle rub absorbs very well and doesn’t feel sticky and doesn’t stain my clothes. It feels warming upon application and is wonderfully soothing for my achy shoulders and back.

Although I haven’t tried much of this product (muscle balm) it gives relief to sore muscles! I go to the gym 5 times a week and find myself being extremely sore the next day, the cooking effect of this cream is lovely and it works a gem!
