My mum has neuropathy after receiving chemo 2 years back, she’s also currently on steroids to control a tumor. What CBD products can we use to help relieve her pain, while not interfering with the steroids.

Most persons prefer CBD oil for Neuropathy, as most drugs prescribed for Neuropathy fail to reduce the discomfort. Individuals with neuropathy claim that CBD oil reduces their pain, however there is limited findings on the efficacy and safety of this drug.

Applying CBD oil to the place where pain is felt can relieve the discomfort associated with Neuropathy. At the moment, there is no specified guideline on how CBD should be prescribed or taken. However, it is important to check the amount of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) in your product.

THC is what produces the 'high' feeling when you take Cannabis. It has side effects ranging from Difficulty in sleeping, Dizziness, Dry mouth, Nausea, Migraine, Paranoia, Anxiety etc. The legally required amount is around 0.03%, but check country guidelines when travelling.

There are some health bodies that claim CBD itself has some side effects. They suggest it can cause drowsiness, lightheadedness, nausea, diarrhea, dry mouth, damage to the liver etc. However there's no enough finding to substantiate this claim.

Additionally, you've said your mother is taking steroids at the moment, let's also state that steroids decreases the effects of CBD. Lastly, while CBD oil can reduce your Neuropathy discomfort, it is advisable you check the amount of THC present in the product. CBD oil in some countries have very low amount of THC. If the amount of THC in your CBD is high, it is advised you take very little amount.
