How does CBD work in the brain?
Asked 3 years ago
I've heard that CBD has benefits in the brain, but what does it actually do on a chemical level?

CBD (non-psychoactive compound) has gained popularity in research, as lots of efforts are focused on discovering its full potential against health issues such as anxiety, insomnia, etc.
It may interact with receptors in your brain, affecting how your body system reacts to stimuli. For instance, it may bind to serotonin receptors, influencing the production of this happy hormone, improving your moods and wellbeing.
In another study, scientists suggested that CBD may impact the sodium cells found within nerve cells. It may potentially manage the abnormal movement of sodium in and out of cells in people with epilepsy, reducing the intensity of seizures.
