Are Reishi mushrooms good for anemia?
Asked 3 years ago
I suffer from an iron deficiency which often leaves me feeling very tired. I am looking for a natural remedy and have heard Reishi mushrooms could be the one I'm looking for. Apparently, mushrooms, in general, can increase your hemoglobin or red blood cell count which would help treat the symptoms of anemia that I experience, such as high levels of fatigue. Does this apply to Reishi mushrooms specifically?

Anaemia is a decrease in the number of red blood cells or any other related parameter like haemoglobin content. In an experiment on The Effect of Ganoderma Lucidum (Reishi) on Hematological Parameters in Wistar Rats, It was discovered that at a dose of 300 mg/kg of Ganoderma Lucidum, there was a significant increase in haemoglobin level and an extremely significant increase in leukocyte count. Due to this and other related studies, there is a chance that Reishi may help treat anaemia
