Which CBD oil products are best recommended for bad mental health issues?

Asked 3 years ago

I struggle with bad mental health, BPD, autism, OCD, depression, and severe anxiety. Is there anything you can recommend me using? Also, what dosage of CBD oil should I use for OCD and BPD?

Firstly, CBD is not a cure, and for serious mental health problems, your first stop should be your doctor. CBD might be able to bring you some relief from certain symptoms, but it can interact negatively with medication. So it is important not to mess with your meds until you've spoken to your doctor.

I suggest avoiding full-spectrum CBD, as it contains THC and that can trigger anxiety in some people. Maybe try a broad-spectrum CBD. You will get the ëntourage" effect when the CBD works in combination with the plant's other cannabinoids and terpenes, but without the THC.

Finding the right CBD for you can be difficult, and after that, you've still got to figure out the dosage. Always start low and go slow! With all your mental health issues you might be eligible for medical cannabis, so why not ask your doctor first. Good luck and good health!

There are suggestions that CBD can treat symptoms of mental disorders like anxiety, depression etc; although more studies need to be carried out on this subject. Studies have shown that CBD activates the 5-HT1A(hydtoxytryptamine) serotonin receptors. If you have a basic knowledge of hormones, you'll know that serotonin is the key hormone that helps with our mood, feelings and happiness. The impact of CBD on serotonin receptors is a major reason CBD can help treat symptoms of most disorders that has to do with mood and mental disorders.

There is no best CBD product for mental disorders, although there are some tips that can help you decide on which CBD product to get.

1. Check for third party laboratory test results and compare the ingredients on the certificate of analysis with the ingredients on the label. You can not trust whatever you see on any label, as some CBD manufacturers print wrong details on their label.

2. There are three kinds of CBD products out there: full-spectrum, broad-spectrum and Isolates. The full spectrum contains 0.3% of THC. Broad-spectrum doesn't contain THC but contain other cannabis, while isolates are pure forms of CBD with no other cannabis. THC can cause anxiety in some individuals, these individuals should avoid full-spectrum CBD products. Individuals whose body reacts to any cannabis apart from CBD should opt for CBD isolates.

You should see a doctor before taking CBD, especially when taking CBD along with other drugs, as CBD can interact with the metabolism of certain drugs in different ways. If you are suffering from anxiety or depression, what you need might not just be CBD. Look for support from trusted persons around, talk to persons around you, you can also see a mental health professional. Mental well-being should be treated with utmost care and cautiousness.
