Which CBD product is recommended for pain relief during the day and sleep during the evening?

Asked 3 years ago

I need something to help relieve me of terrible chronic pain during the day and also something to help me get some rest at night because I struggle to sleep. Can anyone make any suggestions for strains or share their experience with CBD oil?

Experts say CBD has pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory properties. CBD may be able to help relieve your pain by making your body release naturally occurring cannabinoid. For sleeplessness, you have to know the cause. Studies show that CBD can help with pain and mental health disorders. If the cause of your sleeplessness is any of these, you may want to give CBD a try.

There are different brands of CBD to choose from. To know a quality brand, check for an independent laboratory test result. Companies with good results aren't scared to publish them. You can find these test results on the company's website or the label. Avoid prices that are too good to be true. CBD products do not come cheap.

CBD products come in various forms. Some come in form of creams and lotions, others in form of oil, gummies, capsules etc. Since you are treating pain, I'll recommend you to get a CBD lotion and apply it topically, if the pain is located in a certain area. For sleeplessness, you can use any of your preferred methods.

Other ingredients can be added to CBD products to make them more effective. For pain, arnica oil, methol, wintergreen oil can be added. For sleeplessness, you can get a CBD product fortified with melatonin. Melatonin is a hormone that controls the sleep-wake cycle in humans.

Each product comes in either full-spectrum, broad-spectrum or isolate. If the cause of your sleeplessness is anxiety, I will advise you to avoid full-spectrum CBD. This is because THC can cause anxiety in some individuals. A very low amount of THC in a full spectrum CBD can also be detected in blood tests.

CBD dosage is mainly by trial and error method. Dosage varies depending on body chemistry, body weight, the disorder you are treating, method of taking CBD etc. The key is to start slowly then gradually increase until you find a suitable result.

If you are currently taking another medication, do not stop it for CBD except advised by your doctor. Also, see a doctor before taking CBD along with any other medication. This is because CBD can interact with the metabolism of certain drugs negatively. See a doctor before you try CBD for the first time.
