Do CBD Products Affect Your THC Tolerance?
Science has already proven that there are interactions between CBD and THC in the body when taken simultaneously, but how does this effect a tolerance for THC?

When discussing an individual's tolerance to THC, it can be divided into two different forms: immediate and prolonged. Although studies do show that there are interactions between CBD and THC, it's more complicated than simply stating whether CBD products will increase your tolerance to THC or not.
The Immediate Effects of CBD on THC Tolerance
The immediate tolerance to THC refers to how your body copes when currently experiencing the effects of cannabis. Whether this is the pharmacological effects of CBD or the psychoactive effects of THC doesn't matter. However, it is important to note that the majority of adverse reactions to cannabis are caused by THC.
Studies show that CBD directly inhibits the effect that THC has on the brain when the two are taken simultaneously. Although you may not notice the direct inhibition of the psychoactive properties of THC, potential adverse reactions (anxiety and memory loss) will be inhibited in most instances while also not inhibiting the potential beneficial effects of THC.
The Long-Term Effects of CBD on THC Tolerance
Currently, there are no studies that definitively point to whether or not CBD can affect your tolerance to THC over time. However, some assumptions can be made regardless.
With the inhibition of immediate adverse effects such as memory loss, anxiety, and psychosis, it can be assumed that it would bear the same result over a period of time, so long as the two were taken simultaneously.
In addition, although prolonged use of THC would cause an individual to build a tolerance to THC's psychoactive effects, it's unlikely that the addition of CBD would increase or decrease the rate that this tolerance builds up.
