Will taking Cordyceps boost my energy levels?
Asked 3 years ago
I know that Cordyceps mushroom extracts and supplements can be used to replenish energy after a workout, but can it be used to boost energy levels beforehand? I do a lot of hiking and running, and want to use Cordyceps to potentially increase my stamina to give me a fuller workout. Can it be used to enhance lung capacity, or is it merely something to take afterward to soothe fatigued lungs?

Yes, Cordyceps can boost your energy levels before exercise. Studies show that cordyceps contain a relatively high level of adenosine which is a major constituent of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). ATP is the energy fuel for most cells and bodily processes. In the respiratory system, some Japanese studies show that cordyceps relaxes the trachea and improve ventilation.
