Can Turkey Tail mushrooms act as an immune booster?
Asked 3 years ago
I've been taking immune-boosting tablets, and am wanting to move on to something more natural. I know that Turkey Tail mushrooms have a lot of beneficial properties, but I wanted to know if they can act as a boost to the immune system?

Studies show that Turkey tail can help boost the immune system in many ways
1. In the gut, it enhances the growth of beneficial bacteria and suppresses the others.
2. It contains different phenol and flavonoids antioxidants that can help reduce inflammation and enhance the immune system.
3. It contains Krestin and Polysaccharide Peptide that may be beneficial to the immune system.
4. It promotes the effectiveness of chemotherapy and radiation in persons suffering from cancer.
The above is the evidence from research so far. The evidence is encouraging, but I will advise you to see a doctor before replacing your tablets with Turkey tail.
