Can CBD raise my blood pressure?
Asked 3 years ago
I've heard that CBD can lower blood pressure, but what if I already have low blood pressure? Can taking too much actually raise my blood pressure?

No, taking CBD will not raise your blood pressure. Although CBD is known to increase heart rate, it can potentially lower your blood pressure by widening pre-constricted blood vessels.
When the blood vessels are widened, more blood can flow through your tissues. Additionally, taking CBD oil might also help lower blood pressure by reducing stress.

CBD is more likely to lower your blood pressure, not raise it. But it all depends on what kind of CBD you take and in what dosage. THC alone or with CBD sometimes increases blood pressure, and sometimes decreases it. And remember that when you take CBD simultaneously with prescription medications, they can interact negatively.
