Can CBD oil help for Hashimoto's disease Hypothyroidism?
Asked 3 years ago
I've heard that CBD oil is good for Hashimoto's and other thyroid conditions but also want to know if it helps directly with thyroid problems or if it only aids in the symptoms.

The short answer to this question is that more research is needed on the efficacy of using CBD oil for Hashimoto's and other thyroid conditions. There is evidence to suggest that CBD exhibits anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties, which could help with thyroid conditions.
The reason individuals claim that CBD can directly treat thyroiditis is that the thyroid has a number of cannabinoid receptors that CBD binds to, but the research isn't conclusive on this.

Apart from CBD helping with symptoms of hypothyroidism like joint pain, mood swings, fatigue, sluggishness, etc. Studies have shown that CBD has strong anti-inflammatory properties which can act directly on the destructive inflammatory process of hypothyroidism. You can give it a try or incorporate it into your medication (if your doctor gives you the go-ahead)

CBD is known to reduce inflammation and pain, and this may help to reduce the symptoms of Hashimoto's disease. There is even some evidence that CBD could reduce chronic inflammation in thyroid conditions. So, if you have Hashimoto's flare-up, CBD may help to reduce inflammation and pain. But there is no evidence that it is a cure.
