What is Synthetic CBD and is it any good?
Asked 4 years ago
I've heard horror stories about people having severe and life-threatening reactions to synthetic cannabis, but I'm not sure if this is extended to synthetic CBD or just the synthetic THC products.

The horror stories you've heard about synthetic cannabis are usually referring to awful street drugs that have been created with the sole purpose of simulating a "high" similar to that produced by THC. Synthetic CBD, on the other hand, is usually made from citrus components with the sole purpose of recreating the pharmaceutical benefits of CBD.
As far as scientists can tell, it might be safer than regular CBD as it is created in controlled, clinical labs. It might exhibit the same benefits as natural CBD, but without the potential "entourage benefits" experienced by the other terpenes and cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. Unfortunately, more research is needed on this topic.
