Why do you take CBD, and how have the changes affected you?
Asked 4 years ago
I'm doing some research about CBD for a project of mine, and it would be great if some of you can provide some answers. What are you currently taking CBD for, and why do you take it? Have you picked up on any notable changes, good or bad?

CBD has grown in popularity recently because of its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties. Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is a psychoactive substance found in cannabis. CBD, on the other hand, does not produce that high feeling that THC possesses.
Due to its analgesic properties, CBD is a pain reliever. CBD interacts with CB1 and CB2 receptors, releasing naturally occurring cannabinoid from the endocannabinoid system. This acts as a pain reliever and reduces inflammation. Numerous researches have found out that CBD combined with THC can treat pain associated with arthritis or sclerosis.
CBD can also help to reduce mental disorders like anxiety and depression. Pharmaceutical drugs administered for these disorders have been found to have several side effects like drowsiness, insomnia, male reproductive system dysfunction etc. Some of these drugs are addictive and can result in drug abuse. CBD has shown to be safe for treating these mental disorders.
Due to its anti-inflammatory properties, CBD can also be used to treat skin diseases like acne. CBD has also be found out to be able to treat cancerous cells, although more studies need to be carried out to ascertain the validity of this.
CBD has shown lots of promises in recent years but a lot of researches still has to be done to ascertain its safety and efficacy.
