Why does CBD oil drastically lower my energy level?

Asked 4 years ago

After 3 months of taking CBD oil, my energy level has become a sunken rock in the water. I am taking CBD oil blue, 3 drops in the morning and 2 drops after lunch, and 2 drops of white before bed. Why is it that when I first started taking the blue my energy levels were brilliant for 2 to 3 months but now they are rock bottom? I have Multiple Sclerosis (MS) so it is brilliant for pain, but I need my energy levels back up. Can anyone come up with further suggestions? Thanks.

Naturally, CBD is not supposed to make you feel tired or reduce your energy levels. However, some factors may cause your CBD oil to reduce your energy levels. These include the amount of THC, dosage, genetics, lifestyle etc.

THC is the psychoactive component of marijuana. It can induce a sedative state. There are CBD products that have a high amount of THC. Check the ingredients of your CBD, if it has a high amount of THC, you can do away with it and get a broad-spectrum CBD product or an isolate instead.

The dosage may also be a reason. CBD may produce a good result at a required dose but at an extremely high dose, it may produce an opposite effect. There is no universal dose for CBD products, it is not rare to see individuals take a higher dose than suitable for them. You should start with a low dosage, then gradually increase until you find a suitable dose. My question is did you increase your CBD dose recently? If you did, you may want to go back to the dose you were taking before you started feeling the tiredness.

Thirdly, we have to understand that every person's body makeup and genetic is different. Individuals may not interact with certain drugs in the same way. Please note that you're not supposed to take CBD along with another drug, except advised by a doctor. This is because CBD may negatively interact with other drugs. You probably have to make some adjustments. I'll advise you to see a CBD friendly medical professional before you continue taking CBD.
