Can I take Cordyceps if I have kidney disease?
Asked 3 years ago
Could someone with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) safely take Cordyceps? I know that Cordyceps has anti-aging properties and that they can be used as a pre-workout aid, but could this safely be taken by someone who has kidney disease? If it is safe, are there any benefits to taking Cordyceps with CKD?

Yes, you can use cordyceps if you have kidney disease as no interactions have been reported. However, this may be due to the fact that the subject is currently under-researched so I will advise you to talk to a doctor first. Some large scale research has indicated that Cordyceps can lower creatine levels in people with chronic kidney disease, and protect the kidney from toxic drug and transplant rejection.
