Does Chaga mushroom really thin your blood?
Asked 3 years ago
Morning I'm looking for clarification from those of you who are familiar with mushrooms. I want my mom to take Chaga mushroom extract because it could help her maintain her blood pressure, but she seems to think that Chaga mushroom will thin her blood. Is this true?

There isn't enough research to back it up, but Chaga mushrooms have protein that prevents blood clotting. So, it can thin your blood. The risk of bleeding also increases due to Chaga mushroom. Hence, if you have a bleeding disorder or take medication for blood thinning, you must consult a doctor before deciding to take Chaga mushroom.
