How do Shimeji mushrooms taste?
Asked 3 years ago
Are they very flavoursome? Does the taste change if they are cooked vs if they are consumed raw?

Shimeji mushrooms are one of the healthiest mushrooms around. It is particularly native in East Asia, so it is widely used in Japanese dishes. Likewise, it provides many health benefits to the body. You shouldn't eat Shimeji mushrooms raw, and they should be cooked. When it is cooked, Shimeji mushroom tastes like nuts and has a little sweet flavor. When it comes to texture, it is not too tender nor too hard.
