Can you take diazePam with CBD?
Asked 4 years ago
I take CBD flower and diazepam and feel fine, so I thought I'd ask anyway. Would it be any different if I took CBD oil and diazepam together?
I've heard that CBD is like Valium but I'm not sure if there is an interaction between CBD oil and diazepam. I'm curious to see what the outcome of this is.

It is not recommended to take CBD and DiazePam together, so you may have just been lucky up until now. Talk to your doctor before you continue with this combo. Taking CBD and DiazePam together can increase the side effects of both! This means the chance of drowsiness, difficulty concentrating, dizziness and more serious side effects. It could be quite dangerous if you are doing something like driving, where you need to be alert.
The interaction of CBD and DiazePam in your system can even expose you to an increased risk of liver failure. Most pharmaceutical drugs (including DiazePam) and CBD, are broken down by enzymes in your liver. When taken together CBD and DiazePam are competing for the same enzymes. This means the DiazePam may not be broken down properly, and increased quantities could end up in your system. The best thing to do is talk to your doctor!

Well I do take them both at times when my pain is just to much to deal with, but I only take 2mg to 5mg of valium and half the dose of cbd oil. I lay down and I'm sure to have someone in the house incase I need any type of help. The mixer of both is the bomb to help with the pain but the bad thing it only relifes for so long and I don't redo it the same day cause then you won't be able to do anything.
