Can muscle pain be a result of dehydration?
Asked 3 years ago
I run every day at around noon when it is fairly hot. I am terrible with remembering to bring water though. I have noticed that I usually get really bad muscle pains when I do forget my water, and I was wondering if the two are related in any way?

Yes, muscle pain can have a relation with dehydration and hence, muscle pain can be a result of dehydration. Due to dehydration, it pulls fluid out of tissues of the body, resulting in aches or pain in the body. Water helps to take the toxic things out of the body, and it also carries nutrients to your whole body. So when you are not drinking enough water, you are bound to face muscle pain.
