Using CBD for period pain relief?
Asked 4 years ago
Are there any CBD products I can use for menstrual relief? I'm in urgent need of something to dull the menstrual cramps. I’ve also just fallen down the stairs and hurt my ankle, so something to help relieve that too would be great. How effective would something like Phasey period chocolate be?

So sorry to hear about your pain! You should be able to find some relief using CBD. You can take CBD oil orally to work from the inside, and also rub CBD topical creams, balms, and salves onto areas where you feel the pain.
CBD can't stop your uterus from contracting and causing menstrual cramps, but it can ease the pain. CBD is known to reduce inflammation, nausea, fight cramps, and bloating. It could also reduce the tenderness you might feel in your lower back area, stomach, and chest during menstruation.
There are CBD products specifically created to help with menstrual cramps. Try Shea Menstrual Roller applied topically, or Winged Women's Wellness Balance Oil, which you can take orally. There are even CBD patches (The Good Patch: Period), and edible CBD (Phasey: Period Chocolate) to help ease period pain. Why not try rubbing CBD cream on your sore ankle.

Some women experience nausea during their periods. CBD may act as an antiemetic compound, helping to reduce vomiting. Follow the dosage given to avoid experiencing side effects that may result from overdosing.

CBD has anti-inflammatory properties, which can help you get relief from period pain. So CBD for PMS can be a great natural option. But choosing the right dosage in such cases can be challenging. Make sure to use high-quality third-party tested CBD products. Dosages between 30 mg or 40 mg every day should be fine depending on your health conditions.
