Why does my eating increase when I am stressed?
Asked 3 years ago
Whenever I get stressed out I start to eat way more than usual. Does anyone know why this could be happening?

Cortisol is the stress hormone, and the body releases it whenever you are anxious or stressed. Cortisol is a hormone that increases your craving for bad or unhealthy foods such as sugar or any other fatty fast food. It is normal for your body to crave such foods during anxious moments which is a reason you eat more when you are stressed.
