How to calculate the correct dose of CBD flower for a dry herb vape?

Asked 4 years ago

1 x CBD flower has 13% CBD. Trying to figure out how to calculate the correct CBD content in a given amount of flower. Does anyone know how to calculate the correct dose for a dry herb vape? Is there a CBD calculator for vaporizers that use flowers?

There is no universal dosage for CBD. Finding the right dosage for a particular person is quite a herculean task. There are various factors to be considered before determining a suitable dose for a particular person.

These factors include body weight, body makeup, the severity of the disorder and delivery method. Some CBD products are delivered as oils while some are delivered as flowers. It is quite easier to calculate doses for CBD in oil forms than to calculate doses for CBD in flowers. This is because the strength and weight of CBD in flower form can vary widely.

When taking CBD in oil form, the first thing is to check the label for the amount of milligramme of CBD in the bottle. The simple formula is to divide the amount milligramme by the number of millilitres in the bottle. This will enable you to know the amount of milligramme in every 1ml of CBD in the bottle. When taking CBD in flower form, the simple formula is to multiply the percentage of CBD by the weight of the flower. For example, if there are 15% of CBD in a 1000mg flower, the solution is to multiply 15% by 1000. This equals 150. It, therefore, means that there is 150mg of CBD in every 1000mg flower.

As stated earlier, there isn't a universal dosage for CBD. Different individuals find their suitable dosage mainly by trial and error method. You have to start with a very low dose, then switch it up gradually until you find the required dosage for you.

If you are a beginner in the world of CBD, then getting the correct dose could be a strenuous job. Without the guidance of a doctor or an expert, it would be hard to calculate the perfect dose of CBD regardless of the form you are taking. Calculating the CBD content in raw flowers that you intend to vape us one of the more difficult methods. While figuring out the right dose of a CBD product, many things could play key factors to determine it. Your age would play an important role, while your physical condition is another factor before picking up the right dose. Whether you are regularly taking prescription drugs or not, it could also be a point to consider while evaluating the right dose of a person.

Your CBD flower has 13% CBD, so it is fairly easy to calculate. It means 1 gram or 1000 mg of that CBD flower has a total of 130mg CBD. Therefore, 500 mg of the CBD flower has 65 mg of CBD. Now the question remains how much of this CBD flower should be a correct dosage for you.

Many studies say that your daily CBD intake shouldn't go beyond 70mg. To be on the safe side without any health complications, it is advised to take CBD below 70 mg every day. Depending on your health and the above-mentioned factors, the correct dose should be decided. However, if you are calculating on your own then don't take more than 70mg CBD per day. Given the CBD percentage in your CBD flower, you shouldn't take more than 500mg of CBD flower.

Since it is not always easy to calculate the correct amount on your own, the best approach would be to take an expert's opinion. But if you do it on your own, start with a low dose and after your body adapts to it, you can increase your dose. However, never go beyond the daily recommended dose.
