Does Cordyceps shorten period cycles?
Asked 3 years ago
Cordyceps seem to be great for decreasing premenstrual symptoms such as anxiety and irritability, but does it shorten your period cycle? Apparenly Cordyceps significantly increase testosterone levels, which would surely throw the body out of homeostasis? Could this shorten ones period cycle?

Generally, Cordyceps has a greater impact on male reproductive health. In females, the effect of cordyceps may be very huge but remains under-researched. Animal experiments show that Cordyceps can stimulate some cells to produce progesterone and increase testosterone levels. Although this topic remains understudied, the suggestion is that increased testosterone levels may shorten period length, reduce cramps, lead to an irregular cycle and even make the female stop menstruating quickly.
