Are there any side effects associated with using stress adaptogens?
Asked 2 years ago
Good day to all.
I've been thinking about using stress adaptogens, as they were recommended to me by a cousin who swears they work. However, before I do try them, I have a few questions I was hoping somebody here could answer.
Can they be harmful? Is it safe to take them every day? Is there any type or group of people that should avoid them? Basically, I'm interested in any potential risks and negative effects.
Thank you for answering.

Generally, stress adaptogens are safe. However, they can interact with some medications and can cause allergies in some individuals. In high dosages, they may also cause headaches, gastrointestinal upset, and insomnia. Thus, people with allergies should avoid stress adaptogens or use them under medical guidance. The same applies to pregnant women and children.
