What are stress adaptogens?
Asked 2 years ago
I overheard a conversation between my work colleagues the other day, and they were talking about stress adaptogens and how they are great for stress relief. I've never heard of that term before. What are they? Do adaptogens really work, do they help with stress?

Stress adaptogens are natural substances that modulate the body's stress response system. While the mechanism of action of stress adaptogens is not well known, they have been shown to help the body adapt and cope with stress. Common examples of stress adaptogens are Ashwagandha, Ginseng, Rhodiola, Tulsi, and Cordyceps.
