Can fidgeting help relieve anxiety?

It is a natural response for me to fidget a lot when I am feeling anxious. I was curious as to whether this actually helped relieve anxiety, or if it is just a symptom?

Fidget toys have earned popularity in recent years for being effective in reducing stress and anxiety, Many experts have claimed that fidgeting can indeed relieve anxiety. Fidgeting encourages various parts of the brain to improve attention, allowing you to feel better under pressure or in anxious situations. While it is highly recommended to teens, the same effect can be seen in older adults.
