Can Cordyceps balance out the side effects of Lion's Mane?
Asked 3 years ago
I've heard that Lion's Mane mushrooms can decrease libido and potentially cause headaches as side effects. I've also heard that Cordyceps has a host of potential benefits as well, potentially even the possibility of this medicinal mushroom boosting libido. How true is this? Can Cordyceps balance out libido loss caused by Lion's Mane mushrooms?

Talking about the potential side effects of experimental medicines is a difficult topic as they vary from person to person, and everyone will experience a different set of side effects (if they even do at all). Some researchers suggest that Cordyceps may have anti-aging properties, which could be beneficial for a loss of libido caused by Lion's Mane mushrooms.
Before starting any new course of medication (pharmaceutical or not), you should always check with your doctor first. Given the limited evidence of medicinal mushrooms in Western medicine, you should also potentially consult a mycological expert, Chinese Medicine Practitioner, or herbalist with knowledge about mushrooms.
