What is the CBD with the highest legal THC content in the UK?

Asked 4 years ago

So I used to smoke heavily in my teens, picked it back up again when I hit 30 because I developed a host of illnesses, but it made my heart race. I was told it was the Sativa and that I should switch to an Indica. I've tried a few CBD oils with no THC, but it’s not quite hitting the spot. What’s the legal limit of THC in the UK? I was trying to start a grow just for fun but ended up on a site for seed potatoes. I’m not built for this.

The Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 classifies cannabis as a controlled drug. The Misuse of Drugs Regulations Act 2001 that followed this law placed cannabis under Schedule 1 (the category of medicine with no medicinal value). This schedule is being considered for review.

Cannabis plants contain more than 100 different cannabinoids, with THC and CBD being the common ones. Unlike CBD, THC is psychoactive, meaning it makes users “high.” THC and other cannabinoids (except for CBD) are controlled substances under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

There is some confusion about CBD flower’s legality in the UK, with many retailers making legality claims from CBD retailers. However, the only legal CBD in the UK is the products that are sourced from the UK-approved varieties and contain more than 0.2% THC, which unfortunately won’t make you high.

Ideally, the maximum THC level in the UK is 0.2% unless for CBD for medicinal purposes. Yes, some products like Sativex (a 50-50 mix of CBD and THC are approved by MHRA in the UK to treat multiple sclerosis.

THC is the chemical in CBD that make you high, so many countries have regulations regarding THC content. Unless you are using it for medical purposes, the highest legal THC content in the United Kingdom is 0.02%. If you take CBD with the range of legal THC content, you would never get high. However, it would make you feel way better than taking CBD without any THC.
