Do botanical extracts help with sleep?

I've been struggling with sleep recently and I heard that products containing botanical extracts can help with sleep. Could anyone confirm this by any chance or share their experiences with it?

Botanical extracts such as Chamomile can be effective in helping with sleep. It has sedative effects that can work effectively as a mild tranquilizer and can induce peaceful sleep. your body will metabolize the chamomile after about 45 minutes, and you could fall into a deep sleep in about 90 minutes. I have found chamomile to be really helpful with my irregular sleep patterns, or when I have trouble sleeping.
