What are the stages of sleep deprivation?
Asked 3 years ago
I haven't slept very well for the past couple of days. And I think I'm starting to experience brain fog, I'm finding it hard to focus, and I can't retain any information. What are the different stages of sleep deprivation, and when should I go to the hospital or see a doctor?

Sleep deprivation can lead to detrimental health hazards like stroke, heart attack, high BP etc. There are mainly five stages of sleep deprivation. The first stage is after 24 hours and then 36 hours. It starts to get worse farther. It could go up to 48, 72, 96 hours and more. The longer it happens, the more your conditions worsen.
