How does CBD oil affect thyroid hormones?

I have Hashimoto's disease and was recommended CBD oil by a colleague. Does CBD help for thyroid health at all? Can it affect hormone release in any way, short-term or long-term?

It's unclear whether CBD and the endocrine system are directly related or not, or whether it can directly affect thyroid hormones. However, CBD oil may be able to help thyroid conditions like hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism in other ways. For example, CBD seems to be a powerful anti-inflammatory, which can definitely assist in in treating thyroiditis.
