Does half a full-spectrum CBD dose (25 mg CBD per ml) show up on a drug test after 2 weeks?

Asked 3 years ago

Can someone help me out, please? My friend gave half a dose of full-spectrum CBD (25 mg CBD per ml) to her adult daughter after she said she is getting drug tested for work in 2 weeks. Will this show up? If so, what can she do?

It is important to note that full-spectrum and broad-spectrum CBD drug tests aren't a thing. When getting drug tested for cannabis, they are searching for THC and not CBD. However, if you're intending to buy CBD that won't show up on a drug test, you should stay away from full-spectrum as it contains trace amounts of THC that can screen on drug tests.

Just because you don’t feel the effects of CBD doesn’t mean that it’s no longer detectable. However, any traces of CBD will rarely show up on a drug test after two weeks, especially considering the amount she took (25 mg CBD). How long CBD stays in the system depends on various factors, including metabolism, frequency of use, dosage, and method of administration.

Moreso, it is essential to note that most drug tests screen for THC and not CBD. Besides, physical factors such as genetics and metabolism will determine how CBD stays in the system and its effects on the user.

Another critical thing to note is that CBD is fat-soluble, meaning it is stored in the body’s fat cells instead of water cells. As such, her body mass index (BMI) will also determine how faster it is metabolized. Ideally, the higher a person’s weight, the more CBD will stay in your system and vice versa.

It is also worth noting that CBD products are not regulated by FDA, meaning it is possible she took CBD mixed with other cannabinoids. These cannabinoids can increase detectability and increase the time that CBD will remain in the system. Moreover, using CBD more frequently will increase the detection window.

To minimize the detectable window and ensure that you are taking the right CBD, shop broad-spectrum from a reputable CBD supplier. The most common drug screening method is the urine test. The metabolites can be detected for up to 25 days among daily users. The test may, however, turn negative if she doesn’t take CBD more frequently. If you want to be 100 percent sure that CBD won’t be found in her system, it’s advisable to stop using CBD until after the test.
