Can sleep deprivation cause hallucinations?
Asked 3 years ago
Can I really start hallucinating if I don't get enough sleep in? How long would it take to get to that point?

Yes, hallucinations are one of the common symptoms of sleep deprivation. While there isn't an exact time frame till you see hallucinations, normally, if you don't sleep for 72 to 96 hours, you are likely to have hallucinations. Almost 80% of people with sleep deprivation face hallucination. Most of the time it is visual hallucinations, which could lead to several unwanted issues.
