Does cooking Lion's Mane destroy the nutrients?
When I eat Lions Mane mushrooms, should I eat them raw or do I need to prepare them in a certain way? Apparently, mushrooms should be cooked to break down the chitin, but wouldn't that just destroy all of the nutrients in the mushroom? Can anyone recommend the best way to cook Lion's Mane if it does need to be prepared? Asked 2 years ago

I have the Lion's Mane Four Sigmatic coffee, but I am hesitant to drink it as I am pregnant and do not know if it is safe to use. Is there sufficient evidence available for whether it is safe for pregnant women to use Lion's Mane? Some people online are saying that it is safe to consume while pregnant and others are saying that there isn't enough research available to safely decide. Asked 2 years ago

I saw an article called "AHCC vs mushroom supplements" and I'm a bit confused because I thought AHCC WAS a mushroom supplement. Lion's Mane fruiting bodies vs. mycelium extracts?
What is healthier between the whole fruiting bodies and just the mycelium extracts of Lion's Mane mushrooms? Aren't consuming the whole fruiting bodies of fungi more dangerous because you might consume or inhale some spores, which could be dangerous? I'm a little confused about the differentiation between the two and which methods use the better components because I heard someone say that mycelium extracts only use the reproductive structure of the fungus, which is inferior.Asked 2 years ago
