How can I create a sleep-conducive environment?
Asked 2 years ago
My teenager came to me the other day saying she has trouble sleeping and it's affecting her focus during the day. Of course, it could always be stress from school, but as a responsible parent, I still want to help. We've been planning to renovate her room in a couple of weeks, so I wanted to use that opportunity to improve her sleep environment. Do you have any suggestions?

A sleep-positive environment maximizes comfort while reducing distractions. When designing one, choose mattresses and beddings that improve comfort. You should also have the plan to block out light or an easy way to turn off any light that can cause sleep disruption, or use a sleep mask if this is impossible. Likewise, aim for a quiet environment or get earplugs where this is impossible.
